Ode to Scotland

The sun was bright, the sky was blue
The day we left T.O.
We hopped aboard our flying bus
To Scotland we would go.

The Broad Horizons Lassies
We’re goin’ cross the pond
To mingle with Glaswegians
For food and drink and song.

We’d heard the Scots were friendly
They’d greet us with a smile
They’d make us feel ‘very welcome’
And go that extra mile!

And so, 10 days of travelling
Through hills and glens and moors
Past magical towns and castles
Was what we had in store.

The history of this ancient place
Enraptured all the gals
Tis true our Broad Horizons trip
Has brought us great new pals.

So here’s to future ventures
Fantastic they will be –
We all can’t wait – so mark the date
For charming Tuscany!
