SCOTTISH LASSIES
"Here's to the Broads from Canada... all over
They arrived in Scotland and landed in clover
We laughed through the rain, the wind and the damp
And ate as if we were working in camp!
Though the sun peeked out often, to show that it cared
And like girls in love, we just sat and stared
In Glasgow, Inverness, Ptilochry and Skye
We searched through castles and gardens... for...RYE?
Nay! T'was the whiskey we found Glayva! Edradour!
Good enough to make sure we always wanted some more!
The Trossachs, The Moors, were stately and somber
Enhancing our Romantic need to wander.
With the Lovely Aileen and our Darling man Craig,
We never had on moment to lag-
The miles were so interesting, many photos were snapped -
Anna took the most, but Aileen was so flapped...
When her camera went missing, not once, but TWICE!
We all felt her pain and thought - ooooh, that's not nice!
Joan and Kim, Carol, Lois, Pam, Anna and me
Have made friendships to last, thanks to Aileen's Company.
Well never forget this jaunt in the Highlands
And look forward to repeats of a fling in the Lowlands!
We'll remember the laughter, the stories, the walking
The ferry, the train... all the souvenir shopping.
Craig in his kilt, with long stories historic
Have made us much wiser... were sure not boring.
Take care Broad Horizons, CHEERS and keep smiling!!!!"

"Scotland – What can I say!!!
Of Castles there where many
Of Churches we entered a few
And what can I say about mountains and hills
From misty to sundrenched and everything between – some with trees or rocks
Fields dotted with sheep or an occasional deer
A few had snow on top with brooks and small falls tumbling down their sides to join small winding rivers.
The roads we took where up and down and winding, some two lanes and occasionally just one, but the journey they took us on was beyond anything I could imagine.
What can I say?
When do we start planning “Intermediate Scotland”?"
