TRAVEL DIARIES
Memories of Ireland - Part 1
- by Nancy van der Meer
The Broads of Horizon
Were given surprisin'
While dining
At the Brazen Head Pub
When one of their matrons
Scared all of the patrons
By settin'
The Brazen a blazin'
Afore wine touched her lip
The menu on candle did tip,
The pyre quickly lit
And into water pitcher dipped.
Thus dousing the flame
To the relief of the dames
And, no doubt
To the landlord as well!
Memories of Ireland - Part 2
O to awaken
To a bright Irish morn
Where we've oft come and left
For food, drink and rest
We've seen gardens galore
And the sea even more
Medieval Bunratty
And the great Cliffs of Moher
I will be sad
To be leavin'
My heart will be greivin'
For return
To this great Emerald Isle.
