Memories of Tulips and Windmills
- By Lynda Himmelman, Bridgewater, Nova Scotia – April 2009
As we finished travelling through many quaint towns connected by rivers and canals, wonderful memories will always be with us.....
Norma with her favourite waiter –“Sunshine” (his personality and expressions always made you smile)
We remember Stephen who always greeted and served us well in the dining-room every day. And we won’t forget Michael in the morning!
Of course there is Csaba (Chuba) our maitre d’ with that twinkle in his eye and flare in the way he presented us with meals and stories. We sure enjoyed seeing him up on the sun deck exercising! We giggled like a bunch of grade eight school girls!
Being invited to the Captain’s table was an honour! Dancing with the captain was another highlight, some of us won’t forget. (you know who you are – hahaha!) And of course thanks to Csaba (Chuba) for singing and playing for us every day in the ship’s lounge.
Tamas was on deck each night to help out with any questions, as well as the wonderful girls at reception.
Our fantastic tour director Wouter introduced us to beautiful scenery, tall ships, enchanting windmills and fabulous flowers in every port. And we’ll remember the museums filled with art and treasures of days gone by.
May we keep our memories, pictures and friendships with us, always.
