Our Swiss Tale

Our arrival in Zurich
Was followed by Bern,
Tis the capital of Switzerland,
We gals would soon learn.

We all get our bearings
And walk to Bear Square,
With flag draped buildings
You couldn't help stare!

The Swiss Riviera,
We're bound for today
Tis the land where rich and famous
Are oft said to play!

Chateau de Chillon
Graces the shore.
Leaving Lake Geneva
We're eager to see more.

From Montreux to Gstaad,
We travel by train.
After strolling through town
We say "Auf wiedersehen" (Av eeda Sein)

Rolling along,
The scenery's amazing!
Dotting mountainous hillsides
Swiss browns are a-grazing.

Into Brienze -
A beautiful lakeside town
For wood-carving with Jerome
And a short walk around.

We've a big day ahead
With Grindlewald our next stop.
Buying watches and chocolate -
Yikes! We can't stop!

The majesty of the Alps,
One can't deny.
As their snow covered peaks
Seem to touch the sky.

We're off to Mt. Pilatus
With it's steep cogwheel rail,
Past 73 alpine summits -
In our gondola we sail!

As we all head back
After a fabulous day
We say good-bye to Bern
On the last day of our stay.

To Lich -ten-stein (Lick - ten - stein)
We're on our way,
Stamping our passport
Was a highlight today!
The Sound of Music
We all sang,
Strains of do-re-mi
Thru the tour bus rang.

To dinner in Innsbruck,
We all head.
Judy remarks,
"How I love their bread."

Sarah in her dirndl,
Strolls down the street
To a backdrop of history
And a view you can't beat!

Arriving in Salzburg,
Our city tour did start.
Such a wondrous city
That would melt your heart.

The Sound of Music
Is our theme today.
As we gather in the garden
Where the Von Trapp family played.

Twas in the birthplace of Mozart,
Our day we did spend.
With dinner at St. Peter's
It was the perfect end.

To Neucchwanstein Castle,
For a quick photo-op
Then it's off to Ober-amer-gau,
For our next official stop!

Up the next day,
We head off with Heir Dieter
For excellence in driving,
To be sure he's a keeper.

To Shrunbrunn Palace,
We're off that night
Our concert in the Hall of Images
Was truly a sight!

On our last day in Vienna,
We've come to the end.
Of a trip filled with memories
And many new friends!
