Carnival Freedom, 12 day European Cruise – May 22 – June 3, 2008
We had a wonderful cruise! Ship, excursions, everything was so beautifully organized. It was wonderful to know that everything was arranged for us. Rome was beautiful, in spite of the rain. Lori was just great she certainly looked out for all of us. I can't thank her enough. We enjoyed the company of all the gang. Thank you for all your surprises. This is certainly appreciated and this is the first time I have ever received so many wee surprises. I will gladly recommend you to any of my friends, (I have a few in mind) Thank you again.
Carole Janke, Sudbury, Ontario

We had a wonderful trip!!! The new Carnival Freedom ship was exquisite. Our stateroom was huge compared to other cruises - what a nice surprise. The food was excellent - lots of choice, delicious and excellent waiters. My favourite of course was the Lido deck with the poolside movie theatre.
It was a dream vacation going to the culturally rich ports of call - Venice, Barcelona, Cannes, Florence, Pompei and Messina. My favorites were Venice, Florence and Barcelona for the beautiful streetscapes, architecture, food and shopping.
Fran Schwering, Markham, Ontario

Switzerland, Austria and Bavaria - May 21 - June 1, 2008
The trip to Switzerland and Austria was my first with Broad Horizons. I have never had this much fun on a trip and will surely be a repeat customer. The overall feeling of the trip was upbeat and we shared lots of laughs and unique experiences. Many thanks, Susan, for a wonderful time.
Judy Weisgerber, Nanaimo, British Columbia

This is my first Broad Horizons tour. I made many new friends and had many new experiences. It was truly a dream come true!
Dorothy Jaecques, Sarnia, Ontario
I just love travelling with all the gals. Susan, you always know the perfect things to do to make us feel special. I appreciate the things you do so much!
Betty Anne MacPhee, Mission, British Columbia
Going to Switzerland, Austria and Germany was a historic and educational experience. We all became friends on this trip while experiencing new and old cultures, meals and hotel accommodations. The sightseeing and the historical, cultural features and information was awesome. We saw and learned a lot. Sarah our tour guide was an encyclopaedia of information.
Linda Hiemstra, Sarnia, Ontario
Susan, I enjoyed the trip very much. "Thank you" for the opportunity to travel with all the women on the tour. I am sure it was enjoyed by all. A special "thank you" to you Susan, for all your time and effort to make trips such as this one, a wonderful experience.

Ireland - 40 shades of green - April 30 - May 8, 2008
Travel Alert! Another awesome trip headed by Sue Pearson. Forty shades of green, golden gorse blooming along the mountain-side, the breath-taking Cliffs of Moher, a great knowledgeable guide, lots of laughs, good music, good food and amusing travel companions. Sum it up and it spells IRELAND!
Norma J. Dolbear, Corunna, Ontario
I would recommend Broad Horizons to any woman - married, divorced, single, young women or women in their senior years. You will travel with a great crowd of women and enjoy lots of fun and friendship. I have made lots of wonderful friends - try it out ladies!
Norma Sutton, Sarnia, Ontario
The trip to Ireland was a great experience. Not only was I able to visit interesting historical sites but there was a wide variety of activities. My travel companions were like one large family making the trip most enjoyable.
Barb Caley, Sarnia, Ontario
Ireland's reputed beauty can only truly be appreciated when seen in the flesh. The scenery and history are magnificent, the Irish ambiance and people are wonderful. It was well worth the visit!
Nancy Lynne Van Der Meer, Kenmore, Ontario
Going with women- only; getting to know others and the opportunity to travel with neighbours is great. Had a ball together sharing experiences of the tour.
Elizabeth A.D. Hollis, Sarnia, Ontario
One thing I really liked about this trip was how well it was organized. I liked the evening meals planned for us. I found this trip very relaxing, didn't feel pressured and felt very safe. We were well informed ahead of time of all details. It was nice to be advised as to how and what to pack. The price was very good. I've done a lot of travelling and this trip certainly appealed to me price-wise. I will definitely travel with Broad Horizons again!
Jeanne Lewis, Corunna, Ontario
Enjoyed the trip very much! It was great with all main meals included and everything arranged for us.
Ruth Bechard, Corunna, Ontario
The trip to Ireland was terrific. I will certainly travel with Broad Horizons again!
Myrna Ross, Sarnia, Ontario
Another breath-taking trip with Broad Horizons. How can you go wrong when travelling with Susan Pearson and with like-minded adventurers? The medieval castles and the amazing coastline made the stories I've read of Ireland and its people so real to me. I have discovered that "I am of Ireland". Is d'eirinn me.
Elaine Bisson, Kanata, Ontario
I am so glad that I discovered Broad Horizons. By chance I saw an ad in The Vancouver Sun in January 2006 for a trip to Scotland. Since I had always wanted to go there, more than anywhere else in the world, I jumped at the chance and e-mailed Susan Pearson very quickly. She patiently answered my myriad of questions over the next few weeks and was always so helpful and positive in her attitude. I took the plunge and sent off my deposit, not knowing who I was dealing with. I need not have had any fears. She will bend over backwards to assist in any problems that arise and keeps scrupulous records. These are not just ordinary tours that she organizes - she lends a very personal touch to each one, i.e. organizing little contests with great prizes. I can hardly wait for my next trip with Broad Horizons!

British Invasion Tour - England - May 5-13, 2007
I have had another “WOW” trip with Broad Horizons. I saw The British Museum, my long held dream. I took in the wonders of ancient Londinium and modern London, as well as conquering the underground. I had a private moment on the Thames on the evening dinner cruise when I felt I was a Londoner if only for a little while.
Norma Dolbear, Corunna, Ontario
I really enjoyed my trip to England. The camaraderie was wonderful. Our day trips and sightseeing through London, Windsor, Stratford, Bath and Stonehenge will be etched in my memory forever. The opportunity to experience the tube (subway) was a real learning experience.
Connie Caley, Watford, Ontario
I have enjoyed my trips with the ladies of Broad Horizons. It is great to be pampered by Susan, Meredith and Mary Anne who look after all the details. On tour we can enjoy the fun times, of which there are many. Thanks for all the many great memories.
Margaret Haugh, Brigden, Ontario
I really looked forward to the England trip where we had a hotel in central London as a home base. I thoroughly enjoyed the scheduled day trips outside of the city, as well as the opportunity to experience London as a Londoner. By travelling with the Broad Horizons group we experienced delightful day trips to Stratford and Bath onboard a luxury motor coach. It was great fun taking the tube, double decker city bus and walking the wonderful streets of London. Under Susan and Meredith’s watchful eye we successfully navigated our way to a west-end play, a shopping excursion to Knightsbridge and Harrods, as well as a train trip to Royal Windsor. The bonus of travelling with the ladies of Broad Horizons is the opportunity to meet new people and make lasting friendships as well as experience wonderful adventures.

Mexican Riviera Cruise – March 3-10, 2007
Our cruise to the Mexican Riviera was wonderful. It certainly started out in a very stressful way as we left Toronto during a very bad ice storm. However our patient and efficient leader Susan made miracles happen while spending most of the day phoning airlines to re-arrange flight times. It was lovely to have someone else deal so competently with any problem that arose as well as having both mother & daughter sharing fun times. This organization was exactly what I was looking for. I will not hesitate to travel with Broad Horizons again and look forward to future adventures with the new friends I made.
Tricia Flaherty, Stouffville, Ontario

Thank you for another very special vacation. You and Meredith are both to be highly commended for your planning, patience and for providing us all with a great trip and many, many happy memories from our cruise. Hope to travel with you all again soon.

Taste of Tuscany – October 14-24, 2006
I've just returned from the 'Taste of Tuscany' tour with Broad Horizons after reading about it on their website. I travelled with 26 wonderful women and can honestly say it was a once in a lifetime travel experience for me. I've been a solo traveller for the last five years so a tour was a little out of my comfort zone but I could never have seen or done as much on my own.... nor had as many laughs. Susan really seems to know what women want on a trip and everything was beyond my expectations. An added bonus is that my assigned roommate and I have become friends and we're already looking forward to going on another trip with Broad Horizons.
Marlene Johnson, New Westminister, B.C.
Well, another wonderful tour with you folks. Susan, you really make it hard to forgo one of your tours. You and your team really are too good to be true. I am still in fantasy land and I don't want it to go away.
Betty Anne MacPhee, Mission, B.C.
This is my first experience travelling with a group and it has been marvellous. You could not possibly see the number of sights and learn so much in such a short time travelling on your own. It not only takes the worry out of travelling, you don’t even have to think. Just relax, enjoy and have a true vacation filled with wonderful conversation, sites and laughter. It is a true bonding of women in the nicest way.
Louise Chambers, Calgary, Alberta
I have never drank so much, cried so much or laughed so much…
I drank the most fabulous Chianti; cried over the perfection of ‘David’ and the hills of Tuscany; laughed with the most fascinating and adventurous gals I have ever been with.
Elaine Bisson, Ottawa, Ontario
Travelling with Broad Horizons ‘A Taste of Tuscany’ was an absolute BLAST. Travelling together as a group was the best.
Heather Berube, Sherwood Park, Alberta
My daughter and I went on the Tuscany Tour & without a doubt enjoyed every minute of it. We are both full of memories & Susan Pearson and her co-workers have made it a very memorable occasion for both my daughter and I.
June Finn, Ottawa, Ontario
My trip to Italy in October 2006 will be absolutely unforgettable. The group of women I was with were fun, flexible, and very compatible. A lot of friends were made and addresses exchanged. I would recommend travelling with Broad Horizons.
Joyce Young, Kitchener, Ontario
When touring with Broad Horizons you get all the extra special touches. They match people well and keep everyone happy. If you are a woman who enjoys travelling and you like all the special touches then Broad Horizons should be your choice.
Patricia Weddel, Burks Falls, Ontario
Susan did a fine job of organizing a wonderful tour of Italy. The features & sites were top notch and she kept us informed before and during the tour. Special needs were handled patiently and thoroughly. Thanks Susan!
Shaun Roen, Black Diamond, Alberta
This trip will be fondly remembered as I shared ‘Taste of Tuscany’ with my daughter Heather. What great memories we will have for the rest of our lives. Not only experiencing travelling to Europe but the culture, dining and of course shopping. The trip was fantastic! Thank you Susan and Broad Horizons.
Brenda Hanzel, Boyle, Alberta
Susan Pearson plans many special events during the trip but also prepares travellers with books to read, recipes, movies that are relate, weather, dressing and money needed for the trip. It’s the extras that makes these trips so special.
Heather Walker-Sooley, Newmarket, Ontario
I had turned 70, been recently widowed and along came an opportunity to travel in the company of other women. It was scary & exciting at the same time & I’ve never looked back. World here I come!

Such a nice surprise receiving your Scotland CD
on my return home. Very professionally done! Thank-you so much, Susan! The
imagery brings back so many fond memories. Please extend my best wishes to
your sister Mary Anne who also helped make the tour such a fun time. Kudos

WOW!!! That CD is absolutely incredible. Thank
you so very much, Susan. You put a fabulous collection of pictures together
and it is so professionally done. I've had tears in my eyes watching it. I
thought one visit to Scotland would be enough but I now know that I want to
go again. Hopefully some day! Thank you for introducing Scotland to all of
us. Thank you for everything.

I enjoyed the trip to the Emerald Isle immensely. I thought you did a tremendous job of planning! The little extras like cookies and candies on the bus and making sure everyone was taken care of on a regular basis were a plus. I would highly recommend you to anyone!

Thanks so very much for the wonderful trip to Ireland with Broad Horizons!! It was all I imagined and more. I so enjoyed meeting new people and having fun with my old friends. It was very special for myself to meet up with my family, so I now can go visit anytime to the Emerald Isle!!! The entire trip was great including the expertise of yourself, tour guide and bus driver. A wonderful way for females to travel, sight see and have some fun without men!! Can hardly wait till next year. Thanks for all your hard work in making this trip happen and a great start off to the tour group!!!
Charlene Reyes, Guelph, Ontario

No one to report to, no calls to answer or schedules to concede to. this is your week girls, one you thought you could only dream of, until now. Sitting, reflecting, at a small café in a distant destination you thought you would never have the opportunity to visit, reading, planning, contemplating the future, or just people watching. A bubble bath with a glass of your favourite red wine, exciting side trips to places you've only imagined, unique shopping opportunities, a night out with your new friends to a local nightspot or favourite pub, the experience of new foods and menus, always served first class, local literature and music, something new and exciting every day, as much or as little as you want and always your decision. safely alone or in the company of your new Broad Horizons staff and friends.
That pretty much summed up my experience of my trip to Ireland. Every minute was new and exciting. I am so pleased that Broad Horizons has given women - single, married, or widowed, the opportunity to finally travel in a safe, well informed, first class environment and all at a surprisingly reasonable price. This idea is long overdue. I look forward to many more trips with my new friends and Broad Horizons.
Esther Hall, Sarnia, Ontario

My first trip with Broad Horizons offered a perfect package which suited my budget perfectly and travelling with the women of Broad Horizons provided me with a stress-free vacation. I was picked up at my home and from that point on, I could really relax and enjoy the magnificent itinerary that awaited me on my trip to Ireland. I really enjoyed getting to know the other women on the tour, they were interesting, from all walks of life and really fun to be with.
The hotels exceeded my expectations and I really enjoyed the wonderful dining experiences we had in all the little restaurants, pubs and hotels we visited. The daily activities were very varied and always fun and exciting. I really made some wonderful friendships as we talked, laughed, cried and sang together. They say friends are the strangers you haven't met yet. Well I made forty two wonderful friends in the beautiful nostalgic island of Ireland. An experience I will treasure forever!
Joyce Neill, Sarnia, Ontario

Having just returned from our Ireland trip, I am happy to say it was a great time and I have some very good memories of it. My knowledge and history of Ireland has grown substantially even though I have been there a few times! I would definitely recommend a guided tour to anyone who has not travelled that way before. The hotels were very good, and the food was excellent. There is nothing like a good Irish breakfast to get you started for the day. I will definitely consider going on another tour with Broad Horizons in the future.
Eda Robinson, Guelph, Ontario

Thanks to Susan for all her planning and being with us on this first voyage. The extra touches of candies, cookies, draws and special Ireland gifts, added to our positive impression of an excellent trip.
The group of women were varied and very friendly, providing many laughs and memories.
I would recommend this trip and am looking forward to the next trip I take with Broad Horizons.

May 2005 - Northern Ireland and Dublin - by Carolyn Heffernan
If Susan and Mary Anne keep preparing trips with such great organization, fun, safety, good food, fantastic tour guide and bus driver, your reputation will have Travel Professionals International guarding you from being stolen by another travel company.
For the past few years a notion to see Ireland has been in the back of my mind. Last year when Mary Anne told me about your 2004 Ireland trip and that there was to be a repeat performance in May 2005, I actually started considering it. I will be forever grateful to you, Mary Anne, for sharing your enthusiasm, usual exuberance, and encouragement for me to travel with you, Susan and the gals of Broad Horizons.

New York Design Tour - October 21 – October 24, 2004
What an exciting venue....the showrooms in New York were wonderful! It was evident to our ladies' group that you listened to our needs and were able to put together exactly what we were looking for. Although we had limited time, I personally felt that I got a taste of everything from great restaurants and plays on Broadway to the wonderful walking tours that gave me an understanding of the eclectic mix of population that makes New York what it is. I know I can expect the best and look forward to more trips in the future! Ingrid Kyranis, C.I.D.

Spas of Tuscany - September 30 – October 10, 2004
Thank you for all the work you did in helping to create the Tuscan Spa Tour. Everything was wonderful, the spa services, the food, the accommodations and especially not having to worry about anything. The group loved it! I'll be back.
Kailee

From the moment that I first contacted Debbie, I was very confident in her ability as a travel planner. I wasn’t mistaken. Every detail of the trip was taken care of and we traveled in style. We ate at the finest restaurants and were pampered in some very nice spas. The accommodations that she chose were above expectation. One thing that really impressed me about Debbie is that she asked each and every one of us individually what the one thing was that we really wanted to do while in Italy …the one thing that would make the trip extra special, and she made sure that it happened. Debbie is a very down-to-earth, genuine person. I look forward to the day that I will be able to join Debbie on another travel adventure. Thanks a million for the memories!
Darlene Knezevich, Rycroft, Alberta.

Treasures of Tuscany - June 24 – July 3, 2004
I had a Great experience with the Women's Travel Network - exceptional services provided - always prompt, courteous, very helpful - and loved Debbie's personal touch. Although I am a married woman, my husband is not a traveller. This proved to be the answer to my prayers, a way for me to travel with other women, but in a small enough group (I didn't want to be sitting on a bus with 48 other people). We ranged in age from a very young 40's to mid-70's. Right from the start, everything went smoothly - documentation arrived on time and many of us met for the first time at the airport. The arrangements in Italy were perfect - food, accommodations, transportation - it was a First Class trip! The group of 10 women (we called ourselves "The Babes on the Bus") got along beautifully. Everyone was excited yet relaxed - we went with the flow. If we decided we wanted to make some changes to the itinerary for the day, there was no problem. The guides were excellent, extremely well-informed about the topics and the locales. Debbie had arranged for some special events, such as our evening dinner in a Tuscan Castle, and a wonderful evening and dinner on an outdoor patio to celebrate Canada Day! Everything in Tuscany was perfect - from the cooking class (so much fun!), to the wine tastings, to the hotels, to the ancient towns, etc. Really, I could go on forever - Florence and Rome were also great! Debbie was amazing - I would recommend the Womens Travel Network to any of my friends and am looking forward to future trips. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
Rebecca Bennett, Ottawa, Ontario

...After the first Day we knew this was going to be a very special group and named ourselves: “The Babes on the Bus”. We laughed, supported each other’s wants, took votes on what was most important when time ran out – teamed up for shopping for like-minded desires – had many instant parties and enjoyed the company of each other and sharing our findings of the day at every dinner event...Click here to read full story!

The Babes on the Bus (dubbed by our selves) descend from their minivan onto the lush, Tuscan soil. The sun beams on the surrounding hills, swathed with velvety vibrant greens and brilliant golden grasses. After the ‘oohs’ and ‘ahs’, five of the ten women are tittering. They harbour a secret...Click here to read full story!
