Exploration Kenya - An African Safari 2011 - September 25 – October 5, 2011

"This was my first time using Broad Horizons. I am a frequent traveller but wanted to go to Africa and was happy to find a company specializing in travel for women. Of course Africa was amazing! But what made it extra special was the excellent itinerary put together by Broad Horizons and delivered by a great team! I would definitely recommend Broad Horizons!”
Kim C., Markham, ON

"Safari means journey and that is certainly what I experienced on my recent trip to Kenya. For the educational aspect I had many opportunities to view and learn about the abundant wildlife. Often my binoculars came in handy but there were also viewing close to our land cruiser that were very exciting. Gliding in a hot air balloon over the Masai Mara just after sunrise - being able to see, hear, and even small the animals was awe inspiring. A first class breakfast out on the savannah with a pride of lions in close proximity watching us as we watched them was an adventure. Cultural opportunities to visit two tribal village (Masai and Samburu), to participate in a school welcome, and to observe women weavers in a cooperative added to my trip. Thank you for a journey of a lifetime!”
Marilyn M., Calgary, AB

"This was an amazing trip and I enjoyed seeing the Big 5 as well as the many animals & birds. We had the greatest guides who did their utmost to ensure we say the Best of Kenya! Thanks to Bonnie and the rest of the group from Broad Horizons who put together the itinerary and did their best to ensure we had the greatest vacation ever.”
Betty P., Sherwood Park, AB

"I have travelled with Broad Horizons on several occasions and have always enjoyed the camaraderie of my travel companions, the professionalism of the tour hosts and feeling safe/cared for. Each trip brings memories. The trip to Kenya tops the list - the beauty, the animals, culture, colour and the people. Oh, the emotions! The trip to the schools, meeting the children, seeing the hospital and the fantastic work done by the African Mission Services. How could you not help being drawn into the community and its people? For me, the trip had a significant, even life changing, impact. I remember, before I left for the trip, noting on Facebook that it was "all about the animals". When I left it was all about the community, women's and children's rights, and the level of poverty. The animals were truly magnificent - almost now surreal - but they take second place to the culture and human experience. I will never forget my time in Africa and the care, professionalism, integrity and energy of Broad Horizons staff - especially Bonnie Hinschberger who was an inspiration. Traveling with Broad Horizons is an experience no one should miss.”
Jo-Anne H., Lake Echo, N. S.

"Africa was a trip of a lifetime for me. I always dreamed of going but never imagined it would be so soon. Kenya is full of beauty…the animals, the landscape and its people. Broad Horizons took the headache out of all the details entailed in organizing a trip like this and allowed me to sit back and enjoy the ride that was Kenya.”
Michelle B., London, ON

"Excellent trip – dream of a lifetime. Spotted the big five of Africa thanks to Bonnie and Albert, Eliud and Godfrey. Anyone wishing to go on a Safari trip should book through Broad Horizons. Thanks so much!”

She Sees Southern France - September 16-27, 2011

"This was my second all women trip. As such it was a wonderful trip. No one can expect a better guide than Denise. I especially enjoyed meeting a great group of fellow travellers - women who are travellers as opposed to tourists. We made up a great group."
Louise G., Sudbury, ON

"From Lascaux to Lautrec, what a feast of a journey! Our guide, Denise, and the bus drivers added so much to an already outstanding itinerary. Thanks to all the ladies who were part of this amazing journey and thanks to Broad Horizons for making it happen!”

Michelle C., Sudbury, ON

"This was my first experience with a tour group. I had the time of my life. I met delightful women, saw awesome sights, tasted delicious new foods and wines and hear interesting tals about medieval towns and cities. I think the one thing I enjoyed the most was walking in a town during our free time and meeting friends (some of our travel group) along the way. I loved it! Thank you for everything Susan and Denise.”
Michelle C., Sudbury, ON

Scotland Spring Fling - May 9, 2011

"The tour to Scotland was more than I ever expected. I am looking forward to Ireland next spring and hope Aileen will be our host. Aileen was excellent. If a problem arose she was on top of it she provided me with a dream come true vacation.”
Carol M., Sarnia, ON

"My Recent trip to Scotland with Broad Horizons was a wonderful experience in every way. Everything was well organized with very nice accommodations and delightful food. As we laughed and toured our way through the Highlands and Glens we learned so much about Scotlands amazing history, customs, culture and people. I feel so enriched by having done this tour with a beautiful group of women led by the very effervescent Aileen Stewart! Thank You Aileen for your care and attention to all of us!”
Margaret O., St. John's, NFLD

"This was a first-time to travel with a group. I enjoyed the small group. We were kept up frontwith activities, choices and information, which is sometimes difficult with larger groups. The itinerary gave each one time to enjoy each segment of the visits, to ask questions, exchange ideas and to enjoy the ambiance of Scotland.”
Lois B., St. John's, NFLD

NYC - Taking a Bite of the Big Apple, April 2011

"My trip to New York City with Broad Horizons was delightful. Who would think that in 5 short days you could experience the hustle and bustle of Times Square, visit Rockefeller Center, Ground Zero, Radio City Music Hall, Grand Central Terminal, Central Park, take a boat tour on the Hudson River to see the Statue of Liberty, and bus tour through Greenwich Village, SoHo, Harlem and more! Yes, even more! I also found time to see two Broadway plays, visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art, shop at Saks, eat some fabulous meals, and go to the New York City Library on 5th Ave.
The accommodations were top notch, and we had a great tour leader in Debbie, who made everything so easy for us. I will definitely travel with Broad Horizons again!!! ”

Lynn S.,Woodstock, ON

"A very well organized trip - just the right amount of tour time and free time. I enjoyed the shorter trip. Will definitely do it again!!! ”
Connie G., Sarnia, ON

"Thanks for a great trip! I enjoyed the welcome commentary by our guide on the bus from the airport into Manhattan. The walking tours were informative and interesting. The coach tours of the city were great and so was the ride on the boat out to the Stature of Liberty. The hotel was in a super location within walking distance of Times Square and all of the theatres which allowed us to attend many of our favourite shows. Super!!!”
Kay W., Waterloo, ON

BH Friend-SHIP Cruise, March 2011

"Very Pleased!! My first cruise!”
Gail B., Lombardy, ON

"I have just returned from the BH Friend-Ship cruise and it was fantastic! I had never been on a cruise before and I am hooked now. It was wonderful to travel with the Broad Horizons Group, some of whom I have travelled with before, and to be accompanied by our fantastic tour guide, Judy P. The ship was spectacular, the meals, the entertainment, the breathtaking scenery on the islands: everything was perfect. Thanks Broad Horizons and Judy!”
Michele F., Toronto, ON

"Thank you very much for your well organized cruise. My friend Gail and I enjoyed ourselves greatly. The ship was wonderful, the company was wonderful and the leader Judy was the best.”

Women Wind Down in Tuscany – October 2010

"My recent trip to Italy with Broad Horizons exceeded my expectations in every way. Florence, Tuscany and Cinque Terre were beautiful. Our accommodations, local guides and included meals were all A+. I was particularly impressed with our charming tour leader, Mary Anne. I've returned not only with some superb extra virgin olive oil, but with incredible memories as well.”
Elaine B., Richmond Hill, ON

"I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed my recent trip with Broad Horizons to Florence and Tuscany. It surpassed my expectations in every way! What a beautiful area! The seven nights in the villa Il Pilagio were absolutely wonderful and provided a real taste of everyday life in the Chianti region of Italy. The villa itself was absolutely beautiful and the grounds and setting were superb. Monia Piccini, the owner of Il Palagio, visited several times during our stay to ensure that we were settled and comfortable and she and her mother even baked us some cakes to have at our Pot Luck dinner! We had many excellent day trips around the region and visited the beautiful "City of Towers" San Gimignano as well as Sienna, Radda, and, of course, Panzano (the town closest to the villa). We experienced markets, visited churches, castles, wineries and even attended a wonderful cooking class and enjoyed a fabulous lunch afterwards.
Mary Anne Bracewell and Susan Pearson were excellent tour hosts and provided information, assistance and good humour as required. They are a great team!
The visit to Cinque Terre towards the end of our trip was absolutely wonderful - what a picturesque and interesting place to experience! I will definitely be back. Throughout the trip, our lodgings were first rate and the food was excellent. We had some great experiences and saw some interesting things that might not have been possible if travelling alone. Congratulations on providing a great overview of the Tuscany region and a good chance to learn more about central Italy. I will definitely travel with Broad Horizons again. ”

Candace K., Brockville, ON

Women in the Windy City – Chicago September 2010

"This is my second trip with Broad Horizons and I enjoyed it very much. Aileen and Bonnie were very kind and made sure everyone was okay and well looked after. The people in the group were always on time and a lot of fun to be with. The itinerary was busy but also allowed us to have some free time to go shopping or do some sightseeing on our own. Thanks again Broad Horizons for another memorable journey.”
Betty B – Mooretown, ON

"This was my first tour with Broad Horizons. I enjoyed the four day adventure to Chicago. The trip was very well organized. We had a chance to see and learn a lot about Chicago plus had time to mingle and socialize with our fellow travellers. We also had a chance to go to the theatre. We weren’t rushed on our outings. Thank you!”

WOW – Women on Wales, May 11 – 21, 2010

"Wales 2010 was my first trip with Broad Horizons and my first solo trip. I will admit that I was a little apprehensive about being on my own but my fears were totally unfounded. I was matched up with a terrific and compatible room mate and the whole group of 22 fun, intelligent and engaging women were wonderful travel partners. We had a blast!
Every detail of the trip was well planned and smoothly executed; a testament to the organizational skills and enthusiasm of our tour leader and her assistant. Our local tour guide and his driver were knowledgeable, charming and flexible and they ensured that every day was both interesting and relaxing for us. The sights, the food, the scenery, the lovely people…oh, I could go on and on. It was a fantastic trip and I will most definitely travel with Broad Horizons again.”

Michele F., Toronto, ON

"My first trip with Broad Horizons far exceeded by expectations. The group of women was a pleasure to travel with and we shared many lively conversations and many, many laughs.
Gail D., London, ON

"This was an unforgettable tour, excellently organized and executed and the memory of it will forever bring a smile to my face and appreciation in my heart. Thank you very much.
Elizabeth T., Thornhill, ON

"Broad Horizons is a fantastic organization. It introduced me to the camaraderie of women’s group travel. I feel safe and looked after. The tours are marvelous and there is a diversity of selections. Susan is a wonderful tour host and I will be a faithful traveller with Broad Horizons for many years to come.
Joanne H., Lake Echo, NS

"Broad Horizons is an excellent tour company for a "lady" to travel with. I was very nervous about travelling alone. Would I feel uncomfortable being alone? Would I fit in? Would I make friends? Would I feel left out? But from my first call to their office Aileen made me feel special. I was starting to feel nervous again the day of departure for North Wales and started doubting myself again. As soon as I stepped on the bus I was made welcome by Susan and Mary Anne and the others and I felt like we had known each other forever. From that point on it was all uphill and I made new friends from right across Canada. Thank you Broad Horizons for opening a new chapter in my life. You will definitely see more of me.
Betty B., Mooretown, ON

The tour leaders were amazing.”

“My second trip with Broad Horizons exceeded my expectations. Travelling with other women is such a great experience. No worries, no stress, no problems. Our guide was absolutely superb. Truly a trip to remember! "
Tricia F. Stouffville, ON

“I can’t speak highly enough about the fabulous Exploration Peru trip. Tour guides from Broad Horizons and locally were excellent. The itinerary was full and a broad variety of activities kept the group interested. The sites were amazing. I met a wonderful group of women. Hotels and meals were great. The guides were flexible to adapt to the daily plan to meet the needs of the group. This is my third trip with Broad Horizons and each one surpassed my expectations. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again.”
Heather M., Thornhill, ON

“The Peru trip exceeded all my expectation. The travelling between destinations went extremely smoothly. There was complete trust in our leader to get us to our destinations, get our travelling transport and arrange things so we saw the best of Peru.”
Teresa M, Calgary, AB

“Broad Horizons provides a secure travelling experience for women of all ages, whether travelling alone or with a friend. With the many details being taken care of the traveler has time to enjoy the moments. Highly recommended!

Tulips and Windmills River Cruise – April 13 - 23, 2009

I discovered Broad Horizons via the Journeywoman newsletter three years ago and began my adventures by signing up for a trip to France in 2007. Not to be outdone, my daughter decided to join me and together we had a fabulous time, not only sharing each other's company which is not always possible in our busy worlds, but also meeting up with a great group of ladies. Susan is No.1 when it comes to organizing fun times for us all. Guided tours, friendship evenings, side trips, plus many of Susan's personal initiatives, all added up to one marvellous travel experience. Since then, I have joined in a trip to Ireland (2008) and currently just returned from the Tulips and Windmills cruise in Belgium and Holland. Seeing several now familiar faces, meeting new friends and sharing friendship has made this recent trip just one more exciting foray into the world of travel. No longer need women feel wary of travelling alone to their dream vacations--- Broad Horizons can make it all come true. I can hardly wait for my next trip! Thanks Susan for all you do to make our travelling experiences very special.
Pauline Campbell, London, Ontario

This is my 6th trip with the ladies of Broad Horizons and each trip is as informative, fun filled and memorable as the last. River cruising in Belgium/ Holland was a first for me and it exceeded my expectations. Meeting some of my former travel companions was great, as well as forging new friendships. Let’s meet again soon!
Dank u Susan!

Norma Dolbear, Corunna, Ontario

I am so glad that I was part of this fabulous trip! From leaving Sarnia to the return home - there were so many moments to remember. Of course, highlights of the trip included seeing the gardens at Keukenhof, as well as meeting and enjoying the company of the other women on our trip. Laughter was a big part to be shared by us all. The food was terrific and the cruise ship personnel were outstanding. Will be looking forward to more adventures with the ladies of “Broad Horizons”
Betty Hollis, Sarnia, Ontario

The trip Tulips and Windmills was surreal! The magic of colours, friendship, dinners, tours, sitting at the Captain’s table, dancing with the Captain, onboard entertainment, good wine, the cuddly stateroom, the canal ride, the history, the beautiful tulips and all the other beautiful flowers, watching countless boats and the many, many barges going up and down the river, the beautiful churches, enjoying our youthful waiters, admiring the beautiful Keukenhof Gardens, sampling the Belgium chocolates, tasting the delicious deserts, searching out the many good shops and enjoying the different selection of goods, enjoying the beautiful buildings while walking on cobblestones, bikes, scooters and people everywhere, and last but not least a great room-mate called, “Susan”. It was a wonderful experience that I shall never forget! It was living, loving and laughing.
Betty Anne MacPhee, Mission, British Columbia

I like surprises! So, I do little research before striking out on a new adventure. On this excursion to Belgium & Holland, it was one amazing surprise after another. From Delta Works, to famous art, to quaint towns, to fabulous gardens, the surprises just kept coming. Add to that the luxurious ship, the outstanding crew and our fantastic group of ladies and you have the adventure of a lifetime! Many thanks to Susan, our fearless leader, for doing an outstanding job, again!
Doreen Lacourse, Sarnia, Ontario

The opportunity to travel with a group of women came at a perfect time for me after I’d been widowed for 3 years. It’s been a rich, satisfying experience and I would recommend it to any woman of any age or circumstance.
Shirley M. Jones, Sarnia, Ontario

This was another great trip with Broad Horizons. You’ll love the camaraderie of travelling with a group of women, meeting new friends and renewing old acquaintances. Susan, our tour escort is bubbly and makes the trip fun. She demonstrated attention to detail and is there if support is needed. I look forward to more trips.
Valerie Barnier, Camlachie, Ontario

Travelling with Broad Horizons has always been a joy! As I have been on a number of BH trips, I must say that it is great travelling with the friends I’ve made on these trips. This group of women enjoy life, laugh, and are considerate of one another on the many travels and adventures around the world.
Lynda Himmelman, Bridgewater, Nova Scotia

Switzerland, Austria and Bavaria - May 21 - June 1, 2008

The trip to Switzerland and Austria was my first with Broad Horizons. I have never had this much fun on a trip and will surely be a repeat customer. The overall feeling of the trip was upbeat and we shared lots of laughs and unique experiences. Many thanks, Susan, for a wonderful time.
Judy Weisgerber, Nanaimo, British Columbia

This is my first Broad Horizons tour. I made many new friends and had many new experiences. It was truly a dream come true!

I just love travelling with all the gals. Susan, you always know the perfect things to do to make us feel special. I appreciate the things you do so much!
Betty Anne MacPhee, Mission, British Columbia

Going to Switzerland, Austria and Germany was a historic and educational experience. We all became friends on this trip while experiencing new and old cultures, meals and hotel accommodations. The sightseeing and the historical, cultural features and information was awesome. We saw and learned a lot. Sarah our tour guide was an encyclopaedia of information.
Linda Hiemstra, Sarnia, Ontario

Susan, I enjoyed the trip very much. "Thank you" for the opportunity to travel with all the women on the tour. I am sure it was enjoyed by all. A special "thank you" to you Susan, for all your time and effort to make trips such as this one, a wonderful experience.
Dianne E. McLean, Oil Springs, Ontario

Ireland - 40 shades of green - April 30 - May 8, 2008

Travel Alert! Another awesome trip headed by Sue Pearson. Forty shades of green, golden gorse blooming along the mountain-side, the breath-taking Cliffs of Moher, a great knowledgeable guide, lots of laughs, good music, good food and amusing travel companions. Sum it up and it spells IRELAND!
Norma J. Dolbear, Corunna, Ontario

I would recommend Broad Horizons to any woman - married, divorced, single, young women or women in their senior years. You will travel with a great crowd of women and enjoy lots of fun and friendship. I have made lots of wonderful friends - try it out ladies!
Norma Sutton, Sarnia, Ontario

The trip to Ireland was a great experience. Not only was I able to visit interesting historical sites but there was a wide variety of activities. My travel companions were like one large family making the trip most enjoyable.
Barb Caley, Sarnia, Ontario

Ireland's reputed beauty can only truly be appreciated when seen in the flesh. The scenery and history are magnificent, the Irish ambiance and people are wonderful. It was well worth the visit!
Nancy Lynne Van Der Meer, Kenmore, Ontario

Going with women- only; getting to know others and the opportunity to travel with neighbours is great. Had a ball together sharing experiences of the tour.
Elizabeth A.D. Hollis, Sarnia, Ontario

One thing I really liked about this trip was how well it was organized. I liked the evening meals planned for us. I found this trip very relaxing, didn't feel pressured and felt very safe. We were well informed ahead of time of all details. It was nice to be advised as to how and what to pack. The price was very good. I've done a lot of travelling and this trip certainly appealed to me price-wise. I will definitely travel with Broad Horizons again!
Jeanne Lewis, Corunna, Ontario

Enjoyed the trip very much! It was great with all main meals included and everything arranged for us.
Ruth Bechard, Corunna, Ontario

The trip to Ireland was terrific. I will certainly travel with Broad Horizons again!
Myrna Ross, Sarnia, Ontario

Another breath-taking trip with Broad Horizons. How can you go wrong when travelling with Susan Pearson and with like-minded adventurers? The medieval castles and the amazing coastline made the stories I've read of Ireland and its people so real to me. I have discovered that "I am of Ireland". Is d'eirinn me.
Elaine Bisson, Kanata, Ontario

I am so glad that I discovered Broad Horizons. By chance I saw an ad in The Vancouver Sun in January 2006 for a trip to Scotland. Since I had always wanted to go there, more than anywhere else in the world, I jumped at the chance and e-mailed Susan Pearson very quickly. She patiently answered my myriad of questions over the next few weeks and was always so helpful and positive in her attitude. I took the plunge and sent off my deposit, not knowing who I was dealing with. I need not have had any fears. She will bend over backwards to assist in any problems that arise and keeps scrupulous records. These are not just ordinary tours that she organizes - she lends a very personal touch to each one, i.e. organizing little contests with great prizes. I can hardly wait for my next trip with Broad Horizons!
Susan Lissack, Gabriola Island, British Columbia

British Invasion Tour - England - May 5-13, 2007

I have had another “WOW” trip with Broad Horizons. I saw The British Museum, my long held dream. I took in the wonders of ancient Londinium and modern London, as well as conquering the underground. I had a private moment on the Thames on the evening dinner cruise when I felt I was a Londoner if only for a little while.
Norma Dolbear, Corunna, Ontario

I really enjoyed my trip to England. The camaraderie was wonderful. Our day trips and sightseeing through London, Windsor, Stratford, Bath and Stonehenge will be etched in my memory forever. The opportunity to experience the tube (subway) was a real learning experience.
Connie Caley, Watford, Ontario

I have enjoyed my trips with the ladies of Broad Horizons. It is great to be pampered by Susan, Meredith and Mary Anne who look after all the details. On tour we can enjoy the fun times, of which there are many. Thanks for all the many great memories.
Margaret Haugh, Brigden, Ontario

I really looked forward to the England trip where we had a hotel in central London as a home base. I thoroughly enjoyed the scheduled day trips outside of the city, as well as the opportunity to experience London as a Londoner. By travelling with the Broad Horizons group we experienced delightful day trips to Stratford and Bath onboard a luxury motor coach. It was great fun taking the tube, double decker city bus and walking the wonderful streets of London. Under Susan and Meredith’s watchful eye we successfully navigated our way to a west-end play, a shopping excursion to Knightsbridge and Harrods, as well as a train trip to Royal Windsor. The bonus of travelling with the ladies of Broad Horizons is the opportunity to meet new people and make lasting friendships as well as experience wonderful adventures.
Jeanette Gravelle, Sarnia, Ontario

Mexican Riviera Cruise – March 3-10, 2007

Our cruise to the Mexican Riviera was wonderful. It certainly started out in a very stressful way as we left Toronto during a very bad ice storm. However our patient and efficient leader Susan made miracles happen while spending most of the day phoning airlines to re-arrange flight times. It was lovely to have someone else deal so competently with any problem that arose as well as having both mother & daughter sharing fun times. This organization was exactly what I was looking for. I will not hesitate to travel with Broad Horizons again and look forward to future adventures with the new friends I made.
Tricia Flaherty, Stouffville, Ontario

Thank you for another very special vacation. You and Meredith are both to be highly commended for your planning, patience and for providing us all with a great trip and many, many happy memories from our cruise. Hope to travel with you all again soon.
Doreen Lacourse, Sarnia, Ontario

Taste of Tuscany – October 14-24, 2006

I've just returned from the 'Taste of Tuscany' tour with Broad Horizons after reading about it on their website. I travelled with 26 wonderful women and can honestly say it was a once in a lifetime travel experience for me. I've been a solo traveller for the last five years so a tour was a little out of my comfort zone but I could never have seen or done as much on my own.... nor had as many laughs. Susan really seems to know what women want on a trip and everything was beyond my expectations. An added bonus is that my assigned roommate and I have become friends and we're already looking forward to going on another trip with Broad Horizons.
Marlene Johnson, New Westminister, B.C.

Well, another wonderful tour with you folks. Susan, you really make it hard to forgo one of your tours. You and your team really are too good to be true. I am still in fantasy land and I don't want it to go away.
Betty Anne MacPhee, Mission, B.C.

This is my first experience travelling with a group and it has been marvellous. You could not possibly see the number of sights and learn so much in such a short time travelling on your own. It not only takes the worry out of travelling, you don’t even have to think. Just relax, enjoy and have a true vacation filled with wonderful conversation, sites and laughter. It is a true bonding of women in the nicest way.
Louise Chambers, Calgary, Alberta

I have never drank so much, cried so much or laughed so much… I drank the most fabulous Chianti; cried over the perfection of ‘David’ and the hills of Tuscany; laughed with the most fascinating and adventurous gals I have ever been with.
Elaine Bisson, Ottawa, Ontario

Travelling with Broad Horizons ‘A Taste of Tuscany’ was an absolute BLAST. Travelling together as a group was the best.
Heather Berube, Sherwood Park, Alberta

My daughter and I went on the Tuscany Tour & without a doubt enjoyed every minute of it. We are both full of memories & Susan Pearson and her co-workers have made it a very memorable occasion for both my daughter and I.
June Finn, Ottawa, Ontario

My trip to Italy in October 2006 will be absolutely unforgettable. The group of women I was with were fun, flexible, and very compatible. A lot of friends were made and addresses exchanged. I would recommend travelling with Broad Horizons.
Joyce Young, Kitchener, Ontario

When touring with Broad Horizons you get all the extra special touches. They match people well and keep everyone happy. If you are a woman who enjoys travelling and you like all the special touches then Broad Horizons should be your choice.
Patricia Weddel, Burks Falls, Ontario

Susan did a fine job of organizing a wonderful tour of Italy. The features & sites were top notch and she kept us informed before and during the tour. Special needs were handled patiently and thoroughly. Thanks Susan!
Shaun Roen, Black Diamond, Alberta

This trip will be fondly remembered as I shared ‘Taste of Tuscany’ with my daughter Heather. What great memories we will have for the rest of our lives. Not only experiencing travelling to Europe but the culture, dining and of course shopping. The trip was fantastic! Thank you Susan and Broad Horizons.
Brenda Hanzel, Boyle, Alberta

Susan Pearson plans many special events during the trip but also prepares travellers with books to read, recipes, movies that are relate, weather, dressing and money needed for the trip. It’s the extras that makes these trips so special.
Heather Walker-Sooley, Newmarket, Ontario

I had turned 70, been recently widowed and along came an opportunity to travel in the company of other women. It was scary & exciting at the same time & I’ve never looked back. World here I come!
Shirley Jones, Sarnia, Ontario

All the best,

Thank you for all the work you did to make this trip to Scotland a great success. We had a wonderful group of ladies, and I think we all had a good time. I’m really looking forward to joining you for a “Taste of Tuscany” in October.

Nellie Pool, Bright’s Grove, Ontario

I just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed our excursion to Scotland immensely; thanks for all your effort.

Such a nice surprise receiving your Scotland CD on my return home. Very professionally done! Thank-you so much, Susan! The imagery brings back so many fond memories. Please extend my best wishes to your sister Mary Anne who also helped make the tour such a fun time. Kudos to both of you!
Sharon Cameron, Gabriola Island, British Columbia

WOW!!! That CD is absolutely incredible. Thank you so very much, Susan. You put a fabulous collection of pictures together and it is so professionally done. I've had tears in my eyes watching it. I thought one visit to Scotland would be enough but I now know that I want to go again. Hopefully some day! Thank you for introducing Scotland to all of us. Thank you for everything.
Susan Lissack, Gabriola Island, British Columbia

We are looking forward to the next adventure! Thanks again, Susan. You are doing a great job!
Doreen LaCourse, Sarnia, Ontario

Thanks ever so much for the pictures. They are a fantastic keepsake. I had a wonderful time and you girls were just great! Your room-mate match was terrific - Norma and I had a great time together.
Betty Anne MacPhee, Mission, British Columbia

Trafalgar Tours- Letter of Reference - August 30, 2006

I am writing to highly recommend Broad Horizons ( under the direction of founder and tour coordinator Susan Pearson ) as an outstanding tour group for women.

Throughout the year I personally assist Susan with the planning of Broad Horizons’ custom tours and I am confident that you will be extremely pleased with the experience of travelling with this exceptional group of women.

Past tours under Susan’s direction have received rave reviews and I am certain their upcoming Taste of Tuscany will surpass everyone’s expectations!

Susan is a valued member of the team at Travel Professionals International and I have worked very closely with her over the past years to build her women’s travel group. We are extremely impressed with the professionalism and commitment that Susan brings to Broad Horizons and Trafalgar Tours is very pleased to be considered a preferred supplier by her organization.

Northern Ireland and Dublin May 14-22, 2005

I enjoyed the trip to the Emerald Isle immensely. I thought you did a tremendous job of planning! The little extras like cookies and candies on the bus and making sure everyone was taken care of on a regular basis were a plus. I would highly recommend you to anyone!

Thanks so very much for the wonderful trip to Ireland with Broad Horizons!! It was all I imagined and more. I so enjoyed meeting new people and having fun with my old friends. It was very special for myself to meet up with my family, so I now can go visit anytime to the Emerald Isle!!! The entire trip was great including the expertise of yourself, tour guide and bus driver. A wonderful way for females to travel, sight see and have some fun without men!! Can hardly wait till next year. Thanks for all your hard work in making this trip happen and a great start off to the tour group!!!

No one to report to, no calls to answer or schedules to concede to. this is your week girls, one you thought you could only dream of, until now. Sitting, reflecting, at a small café in a distant destination you thought you would never have the opportunity to visit, reading, planning, contemplating the future, or just people watching. A bubble bath with a glass of your favourite red wine, exciting side trips to places you've only imagined, unique shopping opportunities, a night out with your new friends to a local nightspot or favourite pub, the experience of new foods and menus, always served first class, local literature and music, something new and exciting every day, as much or as little as you want and always your decision. safely alone or in the company of your new Broad Horizons staff and friends.

That pretty much summed up my experience of my trip to Ireland. Every minute was new and exciting. I am so pleased that Broad Horizons has given women - single, married, or widowed, the opportunity to finally travel in a safe, well informed, first class environment and all at a surprisingly reasonable price. This idea is long overdue. I look forward to many more trips with my new friends and Broad Horizons.

My first trip with Broad Horizons offered a perfect package which suited my budget perfectly and travelling with the women of Broad Horizons provided me with a stress-free vacation. I was picked up at my home and from that point on, I could really relax and enjoy the magnificent itinerary that awaited me on my trip to Ireland. I really enjoyed getting to know the other women on the tour, they were interesting, from all walks of life and really fun to be with.

The hotels exceeded my expectations and I really enjoyed the wonderful dining experiences we had in all the little restaurants, pubs and hotels we visited. The daily activities were very varied and always fun and exciting. I really made some wonderful friendships as we talked, laughed, cried and sang together. They say friends are the strangers you haven't met yet. Well I made forty two wonderful friends in the beautiful nostalgic island of Ireland. An experience I will treasure forever!

Having just returned from our Ireland trip, I am happy to say it was a great time and I have some very good memories of it. My knowledge and history of Ireland has grown substantially even though I have been there a few times! I would definitely recommend a guided tour to anyone who has not travelled that way before. The hotels were very good, and the food was excellent. There is nothing like a good Irish breakfast to get you started for the day. I will definitely consider going on another tour with Broad Horizons in the future.

Thanks to Susan for all her planning and being with us on this first voyage. The extra touches of candies, cookies, draws and special Ireland gifts, added to our positive impression of an excellent trip.

The group of women were varied and very friendly, providing many laughs and memories.

I would recommend this trip and am looking forward to the next trip I take with Broad Horizons.

May 2005 - Northern Ireland and Dublin - by Carolyn Heffernan

If Susan and Mary Anne keep preparing trips with such great organization, fun, safety, good food, fantastic tour guide and bus driver, your reputation will have Travel Professionals International guarding you from being stolen by another travel company.

For the past few years a notion to see Ireland has been in the back of my mind. Last year when Mary Anne told me about your 2004 Ireland trip and that there was to be a repeat performance in May 2005, I actually started considering it. I will be forever grateful to you, Mary Anne, for sharing your enthusiasm, usual exuberance, and encouragement for me to travel with you, Susan and the gals of Broad Horizons.
